Fuzhou Linchuan Zhixin Bio-Technology Co., Ltd. (formerly JiangXi Zhixin Bio-Technology Co., Ltd.) was born in 2009 in Linchuan, Jiangxi — the "genius town" and "Gardenia town" of China. It is a professional high-tech company engaged in the research, development and sales of gardenia deep processing. Backed by the School of Chemistry, Biology and Materials Science of East China University of Technology (ECIT), the core team members mainly come from ECIT and have been devoted to gardenia and related research for many years.

The company has a strong technical team of over 20 full-time and part-time employees, including 5 with senior professional titles and over 85% holding a bachelor's degree or above. Equipped with advanced pilot equipment for extraction and purification of natural products, along with testing instruments such as HPLC and UV spectrophotometer, the company also relies on the ECIT Analytical & Testing Center for quality control, with an annual production capacity of 100kg of genipin and geniposide. In recent years it has developed a series of gardenia products — genipin, geniposide, gardenia blue pigment and gardenia yellow pigment — all meeting or exceeding domestic and international quality standards.

As a natural crosslinker extracted from gardenia fruit, genipin is safe, mild and biodegradable, capable of crosslinking proteins and amino acids under mild conditions to enhance coloring, color fixation and performance. It is widely used in pharmaceuticals, temporary tattoos, tattoo stickers and tattoo paste.
